Evaluation Information

Applicants who met the minimum eligibility requirements were invited to participate in a “written test” in November 2007. The 2007 written examination resulted in a pool of applicants who passed the examination and are “written test qualified.” The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey draws candidates from the 2007 “written test qualified” applicant pool, as needed, to participate in the other aspects of screening identified in this announcement. NOTE: THE ROSTER FORMULATED FROM THE 2002 PORT AUTHORITY POLICE OFFICER WRITTEN EXAMINATION WAS DECERTIFIED UPON CERTIFICATION OF THE NEW ROSTER BY THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT. THOSE CANDIDATES WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE 2002 TEST MUST RE-APPLY AND RE-QUALIFY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR FUTURE VACANCIES.
